A T+0 voice trade-capture platform for commodity hedging

Challenge

In commodities, a great deal of hedging is still executed by voice. Those confirmations were being structured and reconciled the following day — T+1 — leaving trades unvalidated and exposed to error and dispute in the meantime.

Approach

Fincloud helped design and deliver VOCSET — a platform that captures every voice confirmation, structures it, and validates it against the trade economics, producing clean, downstream-ready output. Built on cloud infrastructure with the connectivity and data engineering the workflow demands.

Outcome

Voice-executed trades captured in full and resolved the same day they happen — T+0, not T+1 — turning an error-prone manual step into a structured, validated, same-day process.

Global Derivatives Project — automating cleared derivatives across 30+ markets

Challenge

The Global Derivatives Project (GDP) set out to centralise and automate the processing of every cleared derivative trade across more than 30 markets worldwide — spanning agriculture, freight, metals and energy — to reduce cost and strengthen risk management.

Approach

Fincloud provided the technical architecture for GDP, working across the full clearing flow — from business analysis through to the implementation and coding of additional feeds and processes to automate post-trade processing (TAS). The solution included direct connectivity to a wide set of exchanges, including EEX, SGX, CME, ICE, DCE, SGE, SAFEX, BVMF and MATBA/ROFEX.

Outcome

GDP was delivered on budget, achieved very significant annual cost savings and hugely improved risk management.
